GUHYASAMAJA
We are delighted to announce that Khensur Lobsang Tenzin Rinpoche has agreed to return to Jamyang from 1 April to 17 April to continue and possibly conclude his extraordinary teachings on Guhyasamaja, as well as give the Guhyasamaja initiation and give lamrim teachings.
1 to 6 April, Rinpoche will teach on Bodhicitta and Dependent Arising, using one of Lama Tsongkhapa's main texts, In Praise to Dependent Arising. These teachings are open to everyone and will be a wonderful introduction to these profound subjects by one of the great masters.
8 to 10 April, he will give the Guhyasamaja initiation.
14 to 17 April, he will give a commentary on the practice, starting with a summary of the generation stage (already explained in previous years) and then finishing the explanation of the completion stage.
The commentary is only open to those who have taken the initiation, and it is preferable, although not absolutely necessary, that you have a previous tantric initiation before taking the Guhyasamaja. If you have any queries, please contact Gordon in the office gordon@jamyang.co.uk.
As with previous years, we hope to offer these teachings free by relying on donations from sponsors, and we are therefore asking for any generous people who appreciate what a unique opportunity this is to think about offering money to make this happen. If you can sponsor £2,000, £1,000 or £500 please contact Gordon McDougall or Mike Murray at the Centre. We would also like to be able to offer participants the possibility of staying with Jamyang people during the event. Booking forms will be available on the leaflets soon to be posted, but if you would like to book for the teachings by email, please contact the office on admin@jamyang.co.uk, stating which dates you will be attending. If you would like stay with someone from Jamyang, please indicate that as well. If you will attend the tantric initiation and teachings, for the purpose of generating merit, we ask for a donation of £50
